What is the Engineering Council?

How can I pay my application and subscription fees?

I used to be a Member but have since lapsed – what do I need to do to rejoin?

The Engineering Council licenses IMechE to award CEng and IEng status. It holds the register of all CEng, IEng and Engineering Technicians across all the Engineering Institutions in the UK.

You can pay your application fee by cheque (made payable to IMechE) or credit card. If you inform us on your application form that you wish to pay by credit card, we will contact you to take payment. Details of application fees and subscriptions can be found here.

Subscription fees become due when you become a member and then in January every year. We send out annual bills detailing how and when this should be paid. If you wish to start a Direct Debit for your subscription fees please download the form here and return it to the subscriptions department.
