CEng MIMechE and IEng MIMechE are the internationally recognised marks of a Professional Engineer. For Members working outside the UK, further opportunities to extend their recognition exist.
Eur Ing
- To apply to become a Eur Ing and FEANI registrant, you need to be a CEng Member and have at least four years’ post-graduation experience.
- The latest application forms and guidance notes are available from the Engineering Council.
IntPE
- The International Register of Professional Engineers is open to CEng Members who:
- have at least seven years’ post-graduate experience; - have spent at least two years in responsible charge of significant engineering work; - can maintain relevant CPD at a satisfactory level.
- The latest application forms and guidance notes are available from the Engineering Council.
IntET
- have at least seven years' post-graduate experience - have two years in responsible charge of engineering work - can maintain relevant CPD at a satisfactory level

IMechE accepts Corporate Members of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, Engineers Ireland and Engineers Australia via a simple application process. For more information visit the Existing Registrants page.
