CEng MIMechE and IEng MIMechE are the internationally recognised marks of a Professional Engineer. For Members working outside the UK, further opportunities to extend their recognition exist.

Eur Ing

• To apply to become a Eur Ing and FEANI registrant, you need to be a CEng Member and have at least four years’ post-graduation experience.
• The latest application forms and guidance notes are available from the Engineering Council. 

IntPE

• The International Register of Professional Engineers is open to CEng Members who:
      - have at least seven years’ post-graduate experience; 
      - have spent at least two years in responsible charge of significant           engineering work;
      - can maintain relevant CPD at a satisfactory level.
• The latest application forms and guidance notes are available from the Engineering Council. 

IntET

• The International Engineering Technologist Register is open to IEng Members who:

        - have at least seven years' post-graduate experience
        - have two years in responsible charge of engineering work
        - can maintain relevant CPD at a satisfactory level

• The latest application forms and guidance notes are available from the Engineering Council.

Mutual Recognition Agreements

IMechE accepts Corporate Members of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, Engineers Ireland and Engineers Australia via a simple application process. For more information visit the Existing Registrants page.
