Becoming a Corporate Member

Corporate Membership of IMechE can be achieved by individuals who meet the educational and professional requirements for registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or Engineering Technician in Mechanical Engineering.


Registration

Members of IMechE are eligible for Registration as an IEng or a CEng or and EngTech with the Engineering Council – EC(UK) once they have satisfied specific criteria. 


Benefits

Members are entitled to use the letters CEng MIMechE, IEng MIMechE or EngTech MIMechE (as applicable) after their name, and are also eligible to apply for the European qualification, EurIng (CEng only).

Members can access a range of IMechE services – for example, use of the Information and Library Service, delivery of PE magazine every two weeks, access to the Business Centre at One Birdcage Walk, and much more. For a full range of services please view the Member Guide.
