Affiliate membership

Anyone engaged in or who has an interest in mechanical engineering can apply to become an Affiliate member of IMechE, including full-time undergraduate students and apprentices who can become an Affiliate member for free.

How to apply

If you are currently a full-time undergraduate student, you can apply for your free Affiliate membership by completing our online account creation form.

For part-time undergraduate students and non-students, please download and complete the following application form:

A scanned signature on the application form will be accepted. Please post your completed application form, along with any supporting documentation required, to:
