Interviewers and Assessors

Many of our members are involved in assessing and interviewing potential new members.   We are always pleased to hear from our newest members who would like to assist with the assessment of mechanical engineers looking to become members of the Institution. 

If you are a CEng or IEng Member and would like to be involved in this process, please fill in the application form  and when completed return to Benedict Anstis at 1 Birdcage Walk, London, SW1H 9JJ.

On this form you can apply to be an:

Interviewer
We interview throughout the UK and overseas, and applicants must be able to commit to 2 full days per year

OR

Industrial Advisor
We need specialists in all Mechanical Engineering related Industries. If you would like to take part, please submit a CV with your completed application form.   

Assessor Training Workshops in 2009

Professional Review Assessors (Interviewers and Industrial Advisors) are required to attend training every two years.

Technical Report Option Mentors and Assessors

If you are interested in undertaking one of these roles please complete the TRO Mentor & Assessor Registration Form.

In general we are looking for both academic and industry specialists who are able to assess applicants in a specific industry and have had some experience of reviewing academic or technical reports.
