Existing Registrants

Existing Chartered and Incorporated Engineers who are registered with the Engineering Council can apply for IMechE Membership or Fellowship via a simple route.

Who qualifies?

IEng or CEng registered with the Engineering Council through IMechE or another Institution – please see list of Institutions.

Corporate Members of Engineers Ireland.
Corporate Members of Engineers Australia.
Corporate Members of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.

Applicants should refer to the competence statements and examples before completing the application form.

Please apply by completing an application form (available in both Word and PDF formats. If you are unsure whether you can apply via this route, please contact the Membership helpline on 0845 226 9191 from the UK or +44(0)20 7304 6999 from overseas.

A comprehensive CV (maximum of four pages) including evidence of CPD must accompany the form. Please include your company details in your CV (company name, your position, contact details)
