Associate Membership is for any graduate with a suitable degree in engineering or a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subject.
Benefits of Associate membership
Associate Members are entitled to use the designation AMIMechE after their name, which shows commitment to their career. Associates can access a range of IMechE services – for example, use of the Information and Library Service, delivery of PE magazine every two weeks, access to the Business Centre at One Birdcage Walk, and much more. Eligibility and qualification requirements
If you have any of the following qualifications, you can become an Associate Member:
- IMechE-accredited degree
- UK Engineering degree
- UK Maths, Physics or other relevant science degree
- Engineering Council graduate diploma
- Overseas Engineering degree which meets IMechE requirements
- Open University degree of acceptable profile

To pay by direct debit and spread the cost over 10 monthly payments, download
the direct
debit authorisation form and send it to our Subscriptions team. All direct
debit payments receive a £3 discount.
