How to register

  • To apply for registration as a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) please submit:
    • A completed and signed application form. Please submit a typed application, if possible
    • An up-to-date CV. This forms a major part of your application and should give details of and highlight environmental issues that you have encountered in your career and how you overcame them. It should also give details of the role that sustainability has played in your work and of the projects you have been involved in where sustainability has been a key driver. IT IS UNLIKELY THAT A "STANDARD" CV WILL BE SUFFICIENT. Please check that you have brought out your experiences of the points mentioned above
    • £94.50 application fee (Where do my fees go?)

    Applications should be submitted to:

    MAPD
    1 Birdcage Walk
    Westminster
    London
    SW1H 9JJ

Please also submit an electronic copy of your application form and CV to cenv@imeche.org

Once you have submitted your application

    • We will check that it is complete and come back to you should we require any further information
    • Your application will then be passed to an assessor who will ensure that it is of sufficient strength to proceed to an interview. If it is not, we will ask you for further information
    • An interview will be arranged. This will be conducted by two interviewers, both of whom will be Chartered Environmentalists, and it will last approximately one hour
    • The interviewers will make a recommendation to a Committee. We will write to you to inform you of an outcome
