Eligibility


Anyone working as an environmental practitioner could be eligible to register as a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv).

To be eligible, you will need to:

  1. Be a full corporate member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (EngTech, IEng or CEng). Alternatively, if you are a member of a corresponding constituent body licensed to register CEnv you should contact them directly.
  2. Gain a minimum of 12 points of environmental knowledge and/or experience through academic study (PDF, 46Kb) and/or relevant practical experience
  3. Demonstrate knowledge of, competence in and engagement with sustainable management of the environment
  4. Comply with the SocEnv code of ethics (PDF, 60Kb).
