Getting your apprenticeship scheme Approved by us can make it easier for your apprentices to register as an Engineering Technician (EngTech) at the end of their apprenticeship.

It could help with your recruitment too, as running an Approved scheme shows your commitment to your apprentices’ career development.

Apprentices can join us as Affiliate members free of charge during their apprenticeship course. When they are finished they should be eligible to apply for EngTech registration. Read our brochure to find out more.

Please note that if redacted apprentice records (e.g. log books, quarterly reports, portfolios) are not included as evidence, the application will not be reviewed.

How to re-apply

Approval is awarded for three years. If you wish to continue with the Approval of your scheme after that time you will need to re-apply. To re-apply you will need to complete the application form above. Send us the application form during the three months prior to the expiration of your current scheme to ensure continuous Approved scheme status.
