Volunteering commitments as an IMechE Ambassador range from participation in one-off events to a more in-depth commitment over several months or commitment on a regular basis.

Academic liaison - based in a University or college? Represent IMechE in your educational establishment
Industry Committee - use your industry knowledge to join groups who organise events for the learned society
Local IMechE roles - join a committee in your local area, organise events, visits and social get-togethers
Industry liaison - represent IMechE in your company
Support Network
- befriend via telephone, help the distribution of funds and support members in need
Remap - can you design something that will help a disabled person complete a task in their everyday life?

Educational

STEMNET - promote engineering in schools
Smallpeice Trust STEM days - make STEM exciting for children at schools & in residential courses throughout the UK
Greenpower - join the team that help the students build cars and race them
Imagineering - engineering clubs
Bloodhound - promote engineering in schools using the land speed record
Formula Student - be a volunteer or judge at Europe's largest student motorsport event
Primary Engineer - promote engineering in Primary and secondary schools
