Presidential Addresses

The Institution has a new President each May. As part of the inauguration, the incoming President presents an address. There is no prescribed subject for these and Presidents vary in what they choose for a focus. Many have a strong autobiographical component, but also usually have a considerable amount of technical and sometimes historical detail. Earlier Presidential addresses were published in the Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
