The promotion of renewable sources of energy by the government to meet EU climate change objectives has a series of adverse consequences that are considered to be technically and economically unsustainable. The lecture will outline the practical issues to be resolved and is given by Derek Birkett, a retired chartered Grid Control Engineer, who has extensive experience of installation, commisioning and operation within electrical supply.
