Manufacturing

The Manufacturing Industries Division remains one of the largest of all Divisions within the Institution. The Division's technical programme is organised to reflect the changing interests of the Manufacturing Industries with the Institution Members.

About the Group

The Division supports and is responsible for a number of major activities including the Manufacturing Excellence (MX) Awards, Imagineering and the Additive Manufacturing Association (AMA).

The Division also supports the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS). MAS is specifically designed to help UK manufacturers, large and small, to identify sources of manufacturing related support and expertise.

Events

The Division organises regular debates on hot topics within manufacturing, as well as workshops on TRIZ and Manufacturing Forums based on visits to successful companies entering the MX Awards. The overall objective is to allow engineers to be updated on technological advances and to facilitate the exchange of information. Please go to the events page for a full list of events.
