    26 November 2009

Chaired by Vivienne Parry, Writer and Broadcaster

Through a series of high profile reports, the Institution has promoted a new, radical action plan to combat our rising CO2 levels. • Green Tariffs versus Green Wash

    1 December 2008

Juliet is an influential figure whose opinions have the power to shape government policy and make their mark on the future of renewable energy in the UK. She has been appointed to the Government’s Renewables Advisory Board (who are now advising Ed Miliband) and the Board of RegenSW – the South West’s renewable energy agency. She also sits on Ofgem’s Environment and Advisory group and Ofgem’s Microgeneration Steering Group.

During this free lecture Juliet explains what "green tariff" means and their effect on the total installed capacity of renewable generation. She explores the conflicts with ROCS and what difference the new feed-in tariffs will make.

All of Juliet’s achievements to date have made her an outstanding and prominent figure in the renewable energy sphere, and in 2007 Juliet was nominated by the Courvoisier Future 500 as one of the top ten rising stars in Public Life.
