In the search for reliable and sustainable fuels, is it time to move energy recovery up the waste hierarchy? Energy from waste can provide a very substantial contribution to reaching the Government’s 2020 renewable energy targets. With just over 100 months until these targets come into force, recovered energy should be seen as an important investment in our future – not just an alternative to landfill.
