George Ramshaw Curry Memorial Lecture Honorarium


The George Ramshaw Curry Memorial Lecture Honorarium (Serial 249) is funded from The General Fund.

Trust Conditions:

A donation made by the Railway Industry Association in 1990 of £5,000, to fund a lecture, to be known as the George Ramshaw Curry Memorial Lecture, to be delivered annually as the Railway Division Board may prescribe, upon a subject connected with railway engineering. George Ramshaw Curry was the Director of the Railway Industry Association from 1954 to 1985 and his great involvement in the industry is marked by an annual lecture.

As Trust Conditions.

The person presenting the Lecture may be reimbursed their out of pocket expenses, up to the maximum Budget Allocation.  However, the maximum may be averaged out over a number of years, to allow for exceptional expenditure in one particular year.
