[December 2007] We look forward to the new Process Industries Board (PIB) chairman, Bob Stannard, taking the helm. Bob has a wealth of experience and is a well-respected engineer. He has spent his entire working career in the process industries and has been a strong committee member both within the PIB but also in the IMechE in the North East of England. He has also led many initiatives in education and encouraging youth into engineering and will be a great asset to the committee.
The PIB would like to thank Norman Harris for all his work over the last 3 years as PIB Chairman. He has worked hard to transform the PIB to ensure the committees working within it reflect the needs of its members. He has encouraged new blood and worked closely with the IMechE to ensure the needs of the process industries are heard. Thank you.

- The recent new blood into the committee is Daniel Ambroggio from ABB, Angela Theobald is the PIB’s new event’s assistant, and Taz Khatun becomes the new Events Executive.
