The IMechE Johnson Matthey Prizes (Serial 287) are funded from The General Fund.
Trust Conditions:
The Fund was opened in 1979 to incorporate bequests received without specific trusts being imposed. For use as the Trustee Board may see fit for charitable purposes connected with the advancement of education in Mechanical Engineering generally. These purposes may include the establishment and award of scholarships, fellowships, lectureships, competitions, prizes, awards and grants.
Award Conditions:
To be awarded for the best paper published by IMechE or presented at an IMechE event concerned with 'environmental improvements', especially demonstrating that it is a means for reducing the emissions of pollutants into the environment.
The prizes will be open to anyone from anywhere in the world, and of any age. If thought appropriate, they may be awarded to a group of people, or an organisation, but the work concerned must have been presented in some form via the IMechE.
