[December 2007] My first task in this news letter is to thank Norman Harris for his excellent leadership of the Division over the last three years. As the new incoming Chairman I recognise I have a difficult task to maintain the standard he has established during his period as Chairman. However I have the honour to Chair the Board at an exciting and challenging period for both the Division and the Institution.
The Institution has established its key themes for the immediate future:
- Energy
- Environment
- Transport
- Education
As a major Division we are focusing the majority of our future events on these themes, and the seminar programme we have established for next year is generally in line with these themes.
I am sure that you will find that these events add value to all attendees by helping participants achieve their business objectives so I hope that you will be able to attend them.
We are also considering the location of our events as we know from a survey carried out that many would like events to be held close to their place of business, we welcome your views on this
