Seminar: The Conversion Of Food Waste To Energy and The Reduction Of Manufacturing Energy Costs

Forthcoming Seminar
15 October 2008
Invest Northern Ireland HQ, Belfast

Invest Northern Ireland is organising a one day seminar with the support of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and the Institution of Food Science and Technology, to be held in Belfast, on the subject of food waste conversion to energy and energy conservation.

This seminar will provide examples where energy conservation and food waste conversion can be implemented in the food industry to reduce energy costs and generate energy providing cost reductions to the food manufacturer both in energy costs and waste disposal.

The Institution of Food Science and Technology (IFST) Food Engineering group together with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) Food Engineering committee operate as a joint committee relating to all matters of food engineering and allied subjects.

The day will be interspersed with refreshments of coffee, lunch and afternoon tea giving ample time for further discussions and for contacts to be made.

Attendance by invitation from Invest N Ireland.
