Grants available to members (any grade) of the Institution who have been invited to contribute to a conference or who could be expected to make a significant contribution to the aims of the conference by their attendance.
The standing of each conference and the importance to be attached to the anticipated contribution of the applicant, are factors which will be taken into consideration.
How to apply
By completion of the application form titled “Educational Awards Committee – Application for Financial Support”. (please contact the Prizes and Awards Team by either emailing prizesandawards@imeche.org or telephone: 01284 717887 or 717882. Applicants must be supported by three references:
- who can confirm applicant’s attendance at the conference and explain what affect this will have on the engineering community.
- can vouch for applicant’s character and suitability for an IMechE award.
- who can state how an IMechE awards will benefit the applicant’s engineering development.
ONLY ONE REFERENCE MAY BE A CO-AUTHOR OF PAPER/PRESENTATION.
(IMechE Prizes and Awards Department will request these references).
Value: Up to £1,000.
