The James Clayton Prize (Serial 101)  is funded from The James Clayton Fund 

OPEN TO MEMBERS ONLY 

Award Conditions: 

The James Clayton Prize is to be awarded to a member of the Institution of any grade (Affiliate to Fellow), who, in the opinion of The Trustee Board, contributes most in that year (or over recent years) to modern engineering science – by way of research, invention, experimental work or a treatise or a paper on a modern engineering subject or originality in engineering design or by service to engineering.  The award may be divided equally by the Trustee Board in the event of two individuals being considered of equal merit who are both members of the Institution in any grade. 

Value:

£10,000.00 plus certificate.  To be awarded to two individuals of equal merit, (i.e. £5,000 x 2 + certificates).

Closing Date for Nominations:

1st March each year.

Nominations are considered by the Trustee Board Awards Committee during April each year.
