Purpose:
For overseas voluntary or project work to assist the developing world.
Value:
Up to £1,000
Specific conditions:
- Applicants must be affiliate members of the Institution.
- Applicants must hold or be studying for a degree accredited by the Institution.
Applications must be supported by three references:
- One who can vouch for the program, confirming acceptance and giving a brief outline of what criteria applicant had to fulfill.
- One who can vouch for the applicant's character and suitability for an IMechE award.
- One who can state how an IMechE award will benefit the applicant's engineering development.
(IMechE Prizes and Awards Department will request these references).
Application Procedure:
Applications can be made throughout the year on the form titled " Educational Awards Committee - Application for Financial Support ".
