What scholarships are available to students who are about to commence their IMechE accredited degree?

How much are the scholarships worth?

Each scholarship is worth £4,000: with students receiving £1,000 per year, for up to 4 years. This excludes the period of 12 month industrial placement. The scholarship is renewable annually, subject to satisfactory progress being made.

Am I eligible?

Open to UK residents about to embark on their IMechE accredited degree programmes in the autumn.

The IMechE “AMEC” Undergraduate Scholarships

Candidates’ responses to Question 8 on the application form will be a major element in the selection process.

Scholarship Interviews

  • Mandatory for all short listed candidates.
  • Interviews have been planned for Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th September 2010.
  • Short-listed candidates will be notified at the end of August if they are required to attend an interview, and will be given details of the locations and times of the interviews.
  • Unfortunately, if a candidate is not able to attend on one of the specified dates, then an alternative date cannot be arranged.
  • All candidates called to interview will have reasonable travelling expenses reimbursed.
