Purpose:

To assist students and members to enhance their presentation skills through, for example public speaking courses.

Value:

Up to £500

Specific conditions:

1. Applicants should be members of the Institution.

Applications must be supported by three references:

• One who can confirm the suitability of the applicant for the course and also confirm the applicant's acceptance on the course and include a brief outline of the course.
  
• One who can vouch for the applicant's character and suitability for an IMechE award.
  
• One who can state how an IMechE award will benefit the applicant's engineering development. 

(IMechE Prizes and Awards Department will request these references.)

Application Procedure:

Applications can be made throughout the year on the form titled "Educational Awards Committee - Application for Financial Support".
