Driven predominantly by the environmental lobby, governments around the world have introduced legislation that is forcing aircraft manufacturers to seek increasingly fuel efficient designs. A number of diverse technologies are being developed that offer new solutions and the aim of the seminar is to present the current state of the art in the key enabling area of active flow control. Although the technologies are predominantly driven by the aerospace sector the themes covered will also be of interest to the marine and automotive transport sectors and the power generation industry.
