Understanding the concept of modern effective marketing in engineering is essential for anyone who wants to progress from a purely technical role towards managing departments or clients.
It will help you understand how your role impacts on value creation, internally or externally, and highlight the key areas that you need to concentrate on, as a manager, to remain competitive in ever more difficult markets by creating innovation, customer satisfaction and staff loyalty.

The Diploma in Management from the Chartered Management Institute is run at the IMechE for Members who are Chartered, as the CMI has awarded a 50% credit toward the Diploma based on the CEng registration. Therefore the Diploma is achieved in half the usual time of the Open Programme incorporating 5 compulsory attendance days along with module self-study Please contact cpd@imeche.org for further information.
