The Construction and Building Services Division has a total budget allocation of £1,000 for the Construction and Building Services Divisional Prize(s) for distribution to recognise the achievements of engineers in the Division’s field of expertise. One or more recipients can be chosen up to the £1,000 budget allocation (NB No prize should be less than £100).

The Division also makes nominations to the Trustee Board Awards Committee for the IMechE's Major Prizes and Awards:

• The James Clayton Prize
• The Thomas Hawksley Gold Medal
• IMechE Special Needs Award
• The Safety Award in Mechanical Engineering
• The George Stephenson Prize
• The James Watt International Medal (Awarded biennially - to be awarded next in 2010)
