UK Energy Infrastructure

Event Type: Evening Lecture
01 October 2008

Electricity and gas transmission and distribution companies must provide a reliable service, whilst at the same time remaining able to respond and anticipate the economic and environmental challenges. The extent of these makes it clear that this part of the energy infrastructure in the UK will have to change dramatically in the near future, and this is going to affect the work of civil engineers.

So what are the environmental and economic pressures on the energy grids, and how can civil engineers help develop solutions to society’s energy needs?

If you are unable to attend, you can also register to watch and hear the speaker’s material online live or at your most convenient time.
