The Spencer Wilks Scholarship (Serial 404) is funded from the Spencer Wilks Trust.
Trust Conditions:
The Spencer Wilks Fund was established in 1973 as a result of an Appeal by the President, Sir Robert Lickley, the Vice-President, Lord Stokes of Leyland, and the President of the Society of Motor Manufacturers & Traders, Sir Kenneth Corley to commemorate the life and work of the late Mr Spencer Bernau Wilks (President of the Rover Company). The Fund totalled £10,440. The Scholarship is awarded to promote, advance, assist or encourage the study of, and technical education and training in, research and development in the engineering aspects of transportation (particularly automobile engineering) and all such subjects related thereto. The Scholarships may be Travelling Scholarships and payments may cover fees, maintenance allowance and travel costs. Preference is given to candidates of British and other European nationalities as per the Trust Deed.
