Gresham Cooke Prize


The Gresham Cooke Prize (Serial 208) is funded from The General Trust Fund.

Trust Conditions:

Established in 1964 by the late Roger Gresham Cooke CBE MP with a gift of £1,000. The award is to be made by the Automobile Division Board, after consultation with the Director of the Motor Industry Research Council, to the author of a paper on any aspect of design, research development or production related to British motor vehicles or any of their components which particularly contributed or is likely to contribute to their technical suitability for export or for any outstanding technical achievement in this field.

(No monetary value) - Certificate. Recipients of this prize can be nominated for the Crompton-Lanchester Medal (Serial 228) in competition with recipients of the Clifford S Steadman Prize (Serial 222), Engineering Applied to Agriculture Award (Serial 303) and the Starley Premium Award (Serial 319).
