BIS-sponsored Mentor Challenge fund

The pilot scheme was looking for both mentors and mentees in the following topic areas:

• Health and Safety – Composites UK is developing a composites sector Health and Safety Management Plan. Take advantage of this opportunity for a H&S mentor to guide you through implementation of the plan in your own company. 
• Environmental – resource efficiency, waste reduction and end-of-life – learn how to save money on your process through efficient use of resources, waste reduction and more efficient recycling methods. 
• Technical – support on process improvement, design, optimisation and simulation. 
• Business Improvement and Innovation – includes signposting to support funding, collaboration opportunities and new product development.

All mentors were supported through the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs’ certificated ‘Introduction to Enterprise Mentoring’ workshop and, along with their experience, knowledge and expertise, will be able to help develop and guide mentees into the world of composites.
